Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures on Thursday rose by Rs3.30 to Rs874 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for March delivery climbed Rs3.30 or 0.38 per cent to Rs874 per kg in a business turnover of 4,008 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Thursday rose by Rs1.55 to Rs262.60 per kilogram in the futures market, as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in March increased by Rs1.55 or 0.59 per cent to Rs262.60 per kg in 2,522 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
